2022 First Class Sheet Metal Worker - TAFE Students Preferred (Start ASAP)

We have a position available for Sheet Metal Worker with Metal Cabinet manufacturing experience in both Stainless Steel and Mild Steel c/w Mig & Tig experience for our airconditioned modern workshop who can work autonomously or in a team environment.

Typical Duties

Has knowledge of metals and can select gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated, interprets company policies, and enforces safety regulations. Establishes and adjusts work to meet job costings and customer delivery times, using knowledge of capacities of equipment

Requirements:

• Cert 111 in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
• Min of 3 years post-trade experience
• Skill in Mig & Tig welding – Mild Steels & Stainless Steels
• High Level of pride in workmanship and attention to detail
• Skills in using Brake Press & Guillotine
• Able to interpret drawings and work with minimal supervision
• High-Risk Forklift Licence or the ability to obtain before the probationary period is complete

Should be able to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy; perform a variety of duties which may change often... plan, layout, fabricate, and assemble, metal parts, and products including relevant layout techniques, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.

Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brake presses, punch presses forming rolls, etc., to cut bend or use hand tools, trims, files, grinds, buffs, or use portable power tools. Spots Welds, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, parts to assemble products,
