What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay has improved over year or so to a level that is acceptable.
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
I believe they are okay. It is hard to comment as I am still at uni and trying to balance it with Centerlink.
Intern, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
I am satisfied with my pay. For my level, I would not expect any bonuses.
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
Pay is good
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
Good
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
Adequate graduate salary (post salary rise at new financial year)
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Sep 2024
Not sure
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
Pay in mid-level for a big engineering consultancy. After getting a promotion, it was bumped up, but not by as much as I thought. Bonuses are a plus and are distributed around September.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
I disagree with Aurecon's 'Top 10' model where the top 10% of performers get bonuses, promotions and recognitions. I think it's unfair, when you look at the ebb and flow of a person's life throughout a year. The expectation to consistently perform at 100% is a stark contrast to the rest of Aurecon's pretty chill policies. I've seen some people work their butt off and get maybe the 3rd tier, but should have been in the 2nd or Top 10 based on output. Referral bonuses are nice though. You're welcome, to my referrer!!
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
I think pay is fair but could be better - think it might be better at other similar companies. Bonuses are reportedly not as good as other companies.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
Considering my workload at the moment, the salary package I get is fair.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
The pay is a lot better after FY23/24. I've never done a performance review yet so I'm not sure about bonuses.
Graduate, Perth - 05 Sep 2024
I am satisfied with my pay which reflects my position and work responsibilities.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
I have not been with the company long enough to know about bonus. I believe the pay is competitive.
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Aug 2024
Pay is fine at market value; not much bonuses comparing to it company
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Aug 2024
Base salary is around average, bonuses are only paid to people ranked in the top two bands at the end of financial year review, paid in September. CPI increase given for this financial year, not equal to inflation, due to company not earning as much in the last financial year.
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Aug 2024
Recent grad pay rise has made me very satisfied.
Graduate, Brisbane - 26 Aug 2024
I believe Aurecon pays above the average and I am satisfied with that.
Graduate, Adelaide - 23 Aug 2024
Pay the company appears to be the industry standard for entry level consulting. People are rewarded based on the performance reviews relating to goals set each year. I have found the method to pay rewards to be consistent each year based on performance reviews.
Other (Please specify) - Engineer, Perth - 23 Aug 2024
Pay is lower than industry standard. Raises are only given once per year also, which limits the opportunity for promotions or pay rises.
Graduate, Perth - 23 Aug 2024
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Social events such as pub Triva or going to the tennis as a team
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
The perks so far have been good! I have, again, not really fully experienced a lot of them but look forward to in the future.
Intern, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
No perks as an intern which is fine
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
Not sure many are available, more promotion on any that are would be great. Sonder app is useful...
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Sep 2024
Free breakfast bar
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
Free breakfast (toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit). Blood donor leave. Discounted health insurance. Managers discretion on reimbursed professional development (courses). Involvement in technical societies.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
Client dinners, lunches, ubers are all part of it. Employee health and welbeing comes first. I missed my meds one day, and my manager paid for a $60 uber home instead of me taking the train because she wanted to make sure I was getting home ASAP. The best part about all this is the use of Sonder, a company paid mental health and wellbeing app that is free for us to use. You can live chat or call registered nurses and psychological professionals WHENEVER... For free.... Unlimited times a year. You can get referrals, have a chat about your mental health or even just talk to someone when you're feeling unsafe or unwell. The app has a tracker that you can activate when you're out and about alone, where a Sonder employee will keep an eye on your GPS location until you reach the destination. If you don't, they will call and check in, and if they can't reach you, will contact the police. Again, it's all free, and it's neat. Would be good if they had a gym pass type thing though.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
Best perk that I've heard of is the maternity leave - it is extremely long for either parent (not necessarily primary carer), and flexible
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
Aurecon has generous leave polices, with the opportunity to purchase more leave if wanted.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
Free coffee maybe.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
I've only heard of private health insurance being a perk and I don't need it yet.
Graduate, Perth - 05 Sep 2024
Generous leave policies
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
