Slow in promoting people but overall recognises efforts.

Due to high turnover rates, there are usually opportunities to move up to aps 5 and 6 fairly quickly. my understanding is that it becomes more difficult to move up to el level. apart from developing skills in accordance with the capability framework and history of high performance, i have found that manager/ed support for your promotion is quite important.

Other grad programs provide a faster initial promotion opportunity - to aps5 rather than aps4 for example. i have been happy with the promotion opportunities beyond this - i have been promoted an average of once a year which i think is quite fast

Very good up until middle management at which point it slows down.

I've been promoted three times in three years so can't complain. consistent turnover means there are often roles to be filled.

Inconsistent processes across service groups

There has been opportunity to get promoted at the pace that i would like given my own personal career goals and aspirations.

If you are able to understand the concepts of auditing and team skills, then it can be quite easy to go from an aps3 to aps6 within 3-4 years.

The organisation can be quite 'top-heavy' so it will potentially be difficult to move up quickly

It is relatively easy to get promotions to aps4/5 level. after this it can be quite difficult. the agency is quite small and promotions are reliant on others vacating positions and then when they do there a lots of people applying for a couple of roles.

Plenty of opportunity to grow and for promotion.

Even though it probably isn't as easy as some of the larger organisations. most people will get promoted to aps4, 5 & 6 quite easily.

Don't know yet but it looks like there are opportunities for capable people if they accept the conditions of the role.
