Join BDO as an Audit Vacationer in our Audit team in either November 2025 or January 2026!

As a Vacationer you’ll see first-hand how our Audit team works closely with clients to provide a range of personalised audit services to clients of all types and sizes, in every sector - construction, retail, hospitality, not-for-profit, and more!
This will vary day to day, but you can expect to develop an understanding of the ins and outs of how a business operates, of the BDO audit methodology, how to apply audit standards and assist in conducting independent financial statement audits and reviews, as well as supporting the team with various client queries and correspondence.

What you’ll offer:
- Your willingness to apply your knowledge from your current Accounting studies or relevant undergraduate or postgraduate CA/CPA eligible degree.
- You will be in your penultimate or final year!
- Your availability to commence in either November 2025 or January 2026 for 4 weeks. The length of the program and available intakes may vary in each location.

I am given a fair amount of responsibility, and plenty of support to learn.
Checking emails, liaising with clients to receive information on their R&D activities, writing/drafting activities according to AusIndustry guidelines/ITAA legislation. Calculating financial incentives and meeting with clients.
Admin tasks including note taking, setting up meeting and powerpoint/word templates, writing and research tasks

Pros
The culture in and out of the office is great.
My colleagues are always willing to get out of their way to help me.
Great opportunity to learn. People are nice and not getting annoyed when I ask questions.
Never any pressure to stay late.
The training is great, I have learned a lot in my time here.
Cons
Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.
The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.
Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.
Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.
Could include more women, however this is the industry.
