About the opportunities

Multiple opportunities exist for enthusiastic, ambitious, and highly driven undergraduate accountants to join our team to assist our Accountants, Senior Accountants, Managers, and Partners in providing tailored advice on the full range of business and tax-related issues, including the preparation of tax and compliance requirements, for a portfolio of clients. 

As an Undergraduate Accountant at Bentleys SA, you will:

  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for medium to large businesses including companies, trusts, and partnerships
  • Prepare and/or review work papers and associated documentation
  • Assist with letters, lodgement programs, and other group administration tasks

Working days will be 3-5 per week, with hours being dependent upon your university schedule, business needs and our Study Leave policy.

About you

This is a fast-paced and detail-oriented role and will require you to prioritise your own work to meet and exceed internal and external deadlines and targets while maintaining a high level of professionalism and standard of excellence.

You are a team player and problem-solver with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. With your foundational knowledge and skills, and a strong client focus, you will ensure our service is tailored to meet our different client’s needs. 

You will also possess the following: 

  • Drivers Licence
  • Police clearance
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting / accounting-related degree in business/commerce or similar (working towards)
  • Basic knowledge of Auditing and Accounting Standards, Income Tax, GS, and relevant Acts and legislation (desirable)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook (essential)
  • Background/association with and/or a passion for agriculture (desirable)

It is recommended that you have at least completed or be currently pursuing tertiary qualifications in accounting or an accounting-related degree in business, commerce, or a similar field.
