Career Prospects at BHP

I don't know still discovering and learning the company environment and work culture.

Once a month I get emails about opportunities within the company. Since I am a graduate, I cannot answer specifically to this question.

Tough to say. I am still very early in my journey with the company.

Recent Nickle West closure poses some uncertainty in graduate roll-off procedure.

Not so much as resources required to operate. Not so much in the management as they not easily promoting specialist.

There are so many different paths within the company, it seems like a challenge to identify the right one. To move up the ranks, it takes being able to work cross-functionally across departments/team, as well as having solid exposure and experience to varies topics.

As long as you show your capabilities and willingness there will always be opportunities to progress

There's plenty of career progression opportunities if one like

Communication, maintaining good relations with colleagues and being efficient.

There are many pathways to choose, however it is worth noting that in my case the graduate program appears designed to funnel us into specific areas

Promotional opportunities everywhere, you just need the experience and drive

Large company with opportunities available all the time and across the world

Not much clarity on how to be promoted within technology. Seems that a move to management is inevitable and those who prefer to develop technically first don't have much opportunity. Not many technology personnel who have been here long term in my field, hard to chart a career path with no examples of progression in my field.

Opportunities for leadership or to become highly skilled. It takes experience, actively participating in development plan, actively seeking new connections and opportunities

If it's part of your development plan and you work towards it is possible. It is important people within the company know what you do and have good connections.

It takes doing good work on all fronts

Career progression looks promising. Haven't received a promotion since being in the graduate program.

Very negative experience, graduates in all the other companies are allowed mobility even if they haven't completed the graduate program. The experience I have here in BHP is very limiting and controlled rather than pursuing business excellence. Frankly disappointing.
