There was an initial three month training period which was structured well and had some good content, but a bit of it was things I had already learnt through my bachelor's degree. It did reinforce a lot of what I had learnt at university and helped to build confidence. A specific skill I picked up during this period was learning how to build a java project using spring boot, something I had not done before. As a follow-up they do have quarterly up-skilling sessions, for instance in Q3 this year there were three sessions on quality assurance testing, with hour long sit and learn sessions. These are optional but do offer good value if they are covering something I am less familiar with. On the job I have learnt a lot about the specific programming language I work with, and about general enterprise software development, CI/CD processes and the like.

On the job training has been key in this role, most of what I am doing now is learnt on being hands on. Eg) ITID Billing, Voice recording checks, BCP Plans, Austraclear Software Upgrade (Annually) etc.

In depth training about pro skills (interviewing, email writing, people skills, presenting), SQL, bash scripting, Unix commands and extensive Java development fundamentals.

8-week training program covering professional skills, technical skills and project work

Some modules in the training programme are very useful and interesting. I picked up SQL, powerBI and Excel.

The training stream is very good. Software development training is based on what clients look for in a graduate/junior role and bring even complete beginners to a good standard of programming within twelve weeks.

Training program is pretty good. You learn a lot of new things, even if sometimes not related to what you'll be doing on-site.
