The Finance team within this business is the custodian of the company’s financial systems and processes, and as such is expected to ensure and provide assurance that the group’s financial controls are strong and effective. In so doing, Finance is a critical element in the good governance of our business.

The Finance team’s ‘value proposition’ is only achieved by supporting management in the execution of the company’s objectives, growth, and diversification strategies, and by providing reliable and timely financial information, well informed financial advice, and analysis, pre-empting financial issues, and managing financial risks.

The role will become an important day to day support to the GM Fumigation, GM Pest Management and GM Poultry. Whilst based in Adelaide, the role will support the business across the Eastern States.

The role responsibilities:

Month end

• Month end coordination of the accounts
• Assisting with the provision of management reporting on the (Australian) Group

Financial Control

• Coordination of the consolidation of the Australian accounts, including intercompany journals (management charges, cross charges and transactions)
• Support to and coordination with accounts payable
• Fixed assets records and depreciation schedule maintenance
• Credit card management and processing
• G/L and bank reconciliations.

Financial Operations

• Coordinating with the operations teams on monthly stock counts, Inventory, and stock reporting
• Maintaining (establishing) an efficient and effective stock control program
• Helping with the management of the insurance program e.g. through the supply and maintenance of the fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Helping the ops team with vehicle, insurance and fuel systems administration.

Customer Management

• Raising customer invoices
• Helping with follow up on outstanding debt with customers
• Support and communication

Supplier

• Developing a good understanding of suppliers and their costs
• Coordinating with the A/P Officer on supplier invoices and payment runs

Tax and compliance

• BAS and tax with support and assistance

Communication

• Coordination with the Group Finance Manager, CFO
• Liaison with the Group Payroll Officer
• Assistance to the GM Fumigation, GM Pest Management and GM Poultry on financial matters
