- completing small builds from blueprints under the supervision of an experienced carpenter
- helping to choose and order timber and other materials
- measuring, cutting and assembling materials
- inspecting damaged structures and making repairs.

Cons
The expectation to work very long hours permanently, on site, throughout the entire project.
Limited mobility across different teams/departments, people tend to specialise in an area and stay in the same role in their career instead of exploring different pathways.
It can be hard to transition if you are not used to being autonomous with your workload/tasks.
Extensive hours you will need to commit – early starts and late finishes, especially if based on site.
Company is so massive that you can get lost as another number.
