I am personally saddened by the lack of pay. Whilst it is a graduate program, being the least paid person in the room, but having the highest university education is quite disheartening. While learning is a part of the program, experience is not considered as part of a grad program, meaning that you still get the same pay as someone else who has less experience and less education. Similarly, being stuck on a very low salary for 2 years is incredibly hard.
another problem besides the lack of pay increase is the fact we get paid monthly, whereby it is very hard to budget when you have to wait 4 weeks to get an income. Grads are not entitled to bonuses, we are at a capped salary, whereby if supa is increased, our base salary reduces - this is technically in contradiction of the fair work policy.
grads cannot get overtime, so if shift work is part of the program, we do not get extra money. We also suffer in terms of when we do work overtime, this does not provide us with extra money, nor is this taken into consideration as additional hours worked. It is a very awkward conversation to have with a manager about this and most grads feel uncomfortable to do so, therefore they are taken advantage of for their pay.
quite ironic, given that grads are the least paid, but also are not provided overtime when these individuals are the ones who most need additional income.

Within my current environment i believe i am being paid at a standard rate expected for this type of position however due to my aspirations, responsibilities and goals, i am having to consider not making the most of this graduate program in replacement of a full time position.

I believe the pay gets better as you move up, as a graduate obviously you are not earning a large amount which is not too bad as I look at it more like training and learning for the future.

I believe the pay at my company is completely fair and competitive. In terms of bonus, there is no set figure for a graduate, however i have received bonuses for performance on an ad hoc basis.
