Content with my pay. Bonuses are N/A
Graduate, Melbourne - 27 Apr 2022
I have a base pay and then one bonus which depends on how much the company makes on a global scale. My pay rise can also increase every year if I meet my personal "development goals" and role "deliverables" which I think is motivating. I was also told that my pay will increase at a higher rate for the first few years as I am a graduate.

The pay for an entry level graduate is quite satisfactory, and there is the expectation that each year this will increase. Mars also includes bonuses based upon work merit aligned with your personal development goals, which you set at the start of each year.

Pay is okay when speaking with friends who also have similar engineering jobs. The variable pay is good and will increase when I am no longer a graduate.

At a junior level the pay is quite low I think and the bonus is not significant enough to warrant being too invested in it. I can clearly see how further progression into future roles would drive monetary motivation though as the bonuses increase exponentially as you progress.

Pay is comparable to other graduate programs (and better in some cases than other companies). Cannot comment on bonuses as I haven't received one
