Our Nutrien Ag Solutions 2025 Livestock Career Development program is designed for you to gain valuable experience in all aspects of the Livestock activity while completing an in-house Certificate in Livestock Marketing. 

Our 24-month program will see you will join other ambitious Livestock enthusiasts and see you involved in four leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on the ground training, and have mentors assigned to you to provide ongoing support. You will be hired as a full-time ongoing employee from day one; doing real work and delivering real results. 

Designed to broaden your knowledge of how the Livestock industry operates the 24-month program includes:

  • Accelerated learning opportunities to kick start your career within Livestock
  • Professional networking opportunities to allow you to socialize with your peers and leaders across the business
  • Placement mobility once the 24-month program concludes. You may be required to or have the opportunity to move locations all part of ensuring you get the most out of your experience with us.
  • Business skills – compliance, sales and client relationship building, communication, marketing and social media, understanding finance, problem solving and negotiation and leading and managing a team.
  • Livestock skills – next generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical and market requirements and emerging technology.

At the conclusion of the 24-month program, our Livestock Sales Trainee’s will continue to add value to our company and their relevant team in an ongoing fulltime capacity.

To be considered for the 2025 Livestock Career Development Program you will have a strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry, excellent customer service skills and strong negotiation abilities. 

 In addition you will demonstrate: 

  • You will demonstrate a willingness to learn, a proactive approach, strong communication skills and a passion for agriculture.
  • You will be able to demonstrate customer service, problem solving and leadership capabilities.
  • Completion of Year 12
  • Minimum of at least 24 months working in ideally the Livestock Industry or otherwise Agricultural industry.
  • Current motor vehicle license

Successful applicants will commence the role in February 2025.

Changes daily, but goes from planning with growers their plans for the year and throughout the year involved in decision making and data gathering to make the best recommendations for future seasons and/or current decisions
