Training & Personal Development at PKF Melbourne

Provided with CFI subscription, can ask peers for help if needed, sometimes formal training sessions are ran.

The training in my team is very strong and there are good mentors available to assist with professional development.

Training sessions each fortnight and performance review every 6-months for future growth and development

1 Week of Grad Training. I think only being new the training was probably a bit hard. Now being here a while i think it would be more beneficial once i learnt a bit more. Having a standar program for grads and a way in which they a taught could be good as well. instead of just learning a little bit off everyone right at the start which can get confusing since everyone does stuff differently.

Depends on the team, not that much formal training, a lot more informal. Access to CFI. Learn how to use word, powerpoint, excel really well

No formal graduate training to assist. This is just done within teams once work is begun.

Someone helped guide me for the first few weeks and now have on the job training, where I can ask questions and ask for help at any time between the GM and my manager and higher level employees.

Honestly, not too sure on this as I have only been here minimal time. However, on the job training is VERY good, cannot fault

Lots of training provided to staff to keep up to date with changing taxation policies, however not much differentiation between levels of competencies and experience, with blanket training programs for all staff.

Learnt an accounting software from scratch and now proficient, as a result of training on the job.

Insufficient formal training procedures/time spent training when you initially start.

We have awareness training modules online and occasional meetings on certain topics relating to business recovery and insolvency.

Monthly training is beneficial and refreshes information well. Sucks it is outside of work hours however.

There is enough training. A lot of formal training it isn't super engaging but I am learning on the job heaps.
