2022 Embedded Software (Firmware) Development Engineer (Start ASAP)

As an Embedded Software (Firmware) Development Engineer you’ll be responsible for developing, testing and releasing embedded code for our innovative Connected IoT Lighting propositions

What you’ll do

• Developing, testing and releasing embedded code for our innovative Connected IoT Lighting propositions and products, which are manufactured and deployed locally and globally on many iconic projects and landmark buildings.
• Brainstorming with the Team of passionate professionals locally and globally our next breakthrough innovation in Connected IoT Lighting, turning customer needs into solutions and shaping the Design and Architecture of our Systems, to bring Human-Centric Lighting Solutions and Value Beyond Illumination to our Customers and Business Partners.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a professional holding a Bachelor or higher degree in Computer, Software or Electronics Engineering, who has the ability to work in a global SAFe Agile team, in a multi-time zone dynamic collaboration environment.

Skills and knowledge requirements:

• Hands-on “C” programming skills of ARM-based Embedded Systems. Exceptional de-bugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to contribute to “peer reviews” & legacy Code maintenance
• Good understanding of Embedded HW and interfaces, embedded OS and OSS. Linux Dev and / or RTOS experience would be an advantage
• Experience in multi-site SAFe Agile WoW, following Coding standards & best industry practices
• Experience with Static Code analysis tools (e.g. Coverity) and CICD environment would be an advantage
• Secure Connectivity Development Experience, general IoT knowledge. Understanding of open Lighting and Building Controls protocols, Encryption and Authentication mechanisms and PHY layers (wired and wireless) would be an advantage
• Data collection (sensing) and Digital Signal Processing on Embedded platforms. Experience in embedded platform Image Processing (i.e. Computer Vision tools, open CV libraries) would be an advantage
• Interest in data structures and algorithms
• Understanding of mobile operating systems and integration with peripherals would be beneficial
• Having hands-on experience with JTAG, Oscilloscope & Logic Analysers is essential. Experience with Wireshark (or similar Network protocol analyzers) would be an advantage
• Experience with simulation tools such as Matlab would be favorable
