What we do

As a part of our Global Systems Engineering Team located in Sydney, we are responsible for:

  • Developing, testing and releasing embedded code for our innovative Connected IoT Lighting propositions and products, which are manufactured and deployed locally and globally on many iconic projects and landmark buildings. 
  • Brainstorming with the Team of passionate professionals locally and globally our next breakthrough innovation in Connected IoT Lighting, turning customer needs into solutions and shaping the Design and Architecture of our Systems, to bring Human-Centric Lighting Solutions and Value Beyond Illumination to our Customers and Business Partners.

What you’ll need

We are looking to offer an internship to a student in Computer Science, Software or Electronics Engineering and be part of our global SAFe Agile team. 

Skills and knowledge requirements:

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Interest in electronics, software and firmware development
  • Some coding experience with any language e.g.: C/C++ and/or Python

Day-to-day responsibilities: 

  • Develop, test and release embedded firmware for our innovative Connected IoT Lighting propositions and products
  • Participate in improving CI/CD environments
  • Actively participate in FW code review process
  • Use static code analysis tools to identify potential issues
  • Assist in analysing reported FW issues
  • Participate in brainstorming and design discussions with the local and global teams on innovation in Connected IoT Lighting

Location: Mascot, Sydney (Philips Dynalite)
