An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join Thomson Geer's Business Development team and work with our Partner – Markets, Loretta Reynolds, and Samantha Carter, our National Bids Manager. Working in a fast-paced, fun, and busy team environment on a variety of tasks, you will liaise with our Partners and lawyers on client focused initiatives.
 Writing and editing content for tender submissions and client capability statements as well as marketing collateral, lawyer profiles, e-news, social media posts, legal directory submissions, client and industry presentations..

The role could include: 

  • Editing and proofing work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
  • Driving brand consistency and consistent messaging across all firm communications.
  • Using your ability to turn complex ideas into simple, concise language.
  • Designing and creating high-quality materials including long and short documents such as corporate presentations, corporate brochures and flyers, invitations, advertisements, research papers, infographics.
  • Generating digital content for Website and Social Media (tiles, banners, carousels).
  • Sourcing matter information from legal teams which is meaningful, descriptive and accurate and utilising existing technology and programs to capture, record and access data.
  • Conducting business development-related research and analysis and identifying and capturing useful information for reuse.
  • Support the team with broader BD initiatives and provide local BD/Marketing as required.
  • Researching, updating, sourcing and maintaining contact details and lists across the firm.

The right person: 

  • An interest in the legal sector.
  • A degree in marketing or communications.
  • Diligence in your work with attention to detail.
  • Lots of initiative and the ability to problem solve.
  • An inquisitive nature with an ability to 'connect the dots'.
  • A team player.
  • A strong focus on service delivery.
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Microsoft suite skills.
