6.45 AM

My alarm goes off, and I get up to prepare for the day – I am not a morning person, so this time is early by my standards.

7.15 AM

After having a shower, I go to the kitchen and prepare breakfast for the day – I am a big cereal person. I usually catch up on overnight news, usually of a sporting nature, while sitting down and having breakfast.

7.50 AM

I am out of the house and off to work. I live around 30 minutes from work, so I try to leave with ample time to arrive at work on time.

8.25 AM

I usually cross the road (I park the block across) and arrive at work around this time.

8.30 AM

Most mornings begin with emails, following up on tasks, making phone calls, and planning out my day.
This time usually flies by the fastest; by the time I next look at the clock after walking in, I am always surprised that half of the morning has already passed.

9.30 AM

By this time, I am working my way into my opening packages for new seller and buyer clients, as well as making sure all settlements for the day are ready.

11.30 AM

By this point in the day, I try to transition into completing my settlement statements for clients who have upcoming settlements in future weeks and making sure their files are up to where they need to be, as if settlement was happening the day after.

1.00 PM

Lunch time! After what is generally a busy day, the lunchroom is a perfect place to enjoy each other’s company and give me a break from my computer screen.

2.00 PM

Most afternoons are spent working through finalising settlements and informing the client that settlement is complete. I then work through closing packages for files that have completed settlements and lastly, archive files.

5.30 PM

The end of the days always seems to come around so quickly. I usually like to stay back a bit after 5 PM as this is when the busyness dies down, allowing me to write up file notes or any quick emails that need to be completed. I then head out the door and back home for my afternoon and evening.

7.30 PM

After organizing my stuff at home, I head to the gym and go through an hour or so session.
