Incredibly ethnic and gender diverse however in terms of first nations people and LGBTIQA+ community is not so diverse however it is a safe space for all people and would recommend any gender diversity.

There’s good representation in the team and good flexibility allowances for mothers and child carers. There’s a diversity and inclusion group that does lots of events throughout the year for ethnic minorities and LGBTQ+ etc. but I do think there’s work to be done on cultural competency (particularly with the RAP being implemented) as well as combatting micro-aggressions in the workplace.

Esicent has an initiative called A.B.I.D.E which consists of the sub-groups: ‘Culture & belonging’ and ‘Gender & LGTBQI’. The aim of these initiatives is to raise awareness and ensure there’s a sense of diversity amongst the broader Escient community.

Escient is extremely diverse with people from a range of backgrounds and actively encourages diversity in this way. Internally there are several groups that promote awareness for issues. However, externally this is simply portrayed in the values that each employee exhibits. The company is very understanding and assisting you in any outside of work issues thus keeping retention high.
