Applications are now open for our January 2025 Regional and Agribusiness Graduate Program 

In this role you will, 

  • Undertake a 4-month nation-wide program, designed to give you a foot in the door in a career in Regional and Agribusiness Banking at NAB. 
  • Play an instrumental role in supporting customers and communities and creating positive social change through community and customer engagement programs.
  • Work alongside high-performing agribusiness and business bankers in regional and rural areas of Australia. You'll gain practical experience and insights into the local economy. 
  • Gain valuable learning and development opportunities designed to build critical skills for the future of work. 
  • Benefit from one-on-one mentoring with a successful agribusiness graduate who has been in your shoes. 
  • Participate in industry learning and ongoing technical skill development to enhance your understanding of the broader agribusiness landscape. Build a network of like-minded professionals by connecting with fellow agribusiness grads and colleagues. 

What you will bring: 

  • Proven customer service skills and passion for Regional Business & Agribusiness. 
  • Effective relationship management skills. 
  • Completed qualification in Business, Economics, Commerce or Agribusiness. 
  • Prior work experience in a service environment would be an advantage. 
  • You must be willing to relocate to one of over 120 NAB Regional & Agribusiness Centres across regional Australia. 
  • Must be an Australian / New Zealand citizen or hold permanent residency status in Australia. 
  • You will be available to commence in Full Time employment in January 2025.

Pros and cons of working at NAB Australia

Pros

  • Amazing Culture and People. Employees are valued and recognised for the hard work that they put in. The company has a very supportive environment and has many different learning and development opportunities available."

  • Flexible working (WFH), emphasis on work-life balance. Big organisation so lots of areas to get involved in and explore.

  • Great learning opportunities - 3-4 rotations depending on your dream to get exposure to different parts of the bank. Good work-life balance.

  • Employees are recognised for the hard work and initiative that they take which gives them the opportunity to further our career development.

  • The graduate culture is amazing and everyone is very social and happy to catch up.

Cons

    • Sometimes we have to navigate lots of old tech and systems.

    • Because it’s such a large organization, it can be tricky to know the ins and outs of what each function does, but that comes with time, experience and exposure.

    • Sometimes have to work long hours.

    • There were lots of stages of the interview process

    • We don’t get any bonuses. Apparently they used to but they stopped a few years back.
