Application Process & Interviews at Quantium

The interview process was simple, straight forward, and quite fast.

Every applicant completes a basic maths test, then successful applicants have a behavioural interview. Finally, the technical interview (for analysts) involved receiving some data points and images, with 1 hour to work through some questions, then discussed these immediately following

Three stages: 1. Timed coding quiz 2. Behavioural interview 3. Technical interview (no live coding, discussing your approach to a problem)

Initial Interview to better understand the candidate, followed by a case study with an analyst

Very quick in 4 stages: Resume, online assessment, behavioural interview and technical interview. The whole process takes 1.5 months for me which is very fast.

Behavioural phone interview, an online quiz, another online quiz + follow up verbal discussion with a team member. Quantium provides an interview pack which outlines the process and the kinds of questions asked.

there is first a basic quiz which if you did high school statistics you could pass, then a interview with the basic questions to make sure you are a good cultural fit, then a longer case study which after you go through your answers with a senior analyst to explain your thinking. They are looking for good problem solving and a willingness to learn

Resume submission, standard technical quiz, HR interview, then technical interview.

Written application with submission of a resume. After that, there's an online test that assesses your ability to interpret data. After that, if successful, there's an interview with the graduate recruitment team, where candidates are about what they know about Quantium, some behavioural questions and what they hope to get out of the program. Finally, if successful, there's a technical test that assesses a (little bit) deeper understanding of technical concepts while also interpreting/analysing data in a client-context. After the test there's a short interview with an analyst, where you explain your answers/rationale.

Interview process was very quick, which is a good thing. First contact to final assessment took around 2 weeks. An offer letter followed within the month. There was aptitude testing, a technical assessment testing critical thinking and an interview.

Two rounds of interviews. First was a behavioural interview with HR/recruiter. The second was a technical interview with 2 Senior Engineers.

Interview process was good and had an emphasis on real-world problem solving as opposed to leetcode-style assessments.

There were a couple of interviews, one non-technical and one-technical. There was a virtual assessment Aswell which was a simple 10 question quiz if I recall.

Interview process was less involved than typical market. Less rounds of in person interview. 1st round of coding questions (online assessment). 2nd round basic HR behavioural interview 3rd round Engineering interview (1hr) of 1 Coding Question + Systems Design

Interview process was straightforward. An initial online application and assessment (I think) and two interviews, one more casual and one technical.

In the behavioural interview, it was just generic behavioural questions (e.g. "What do you know about the company?"). In the technical interview, we worked through some coding questions, and then worked on solving a larger problem (e.g. how you would implement a board game application

Why Quantium, where do you see yourself in X years quite standard interview questions I don't exactly remember since I did it over 2 years ago

For the technical interview I was asked to design and implement a software solution for the game connect-4. For the non-technical it was mostly a conversation.

In the first interview was asked about the company and my interests and then in the second interview was asked about preference for frontend/backend and a few different either specifically coding questions or language agnostic theoretical coding question.

Pretty standard questions about statistics and data analytics. Overall it was very conversational and they were happy to let me lead the conversation.

Questions in the interview were fairly standard. Included things like naming strengths, describing a time you overcame conflict within the workplace and answering questions about the company and clients.

Be familiar with the company values. And most importantly, be yourself.

I think just be yourself (cliche I know)

Show your enthusiasm and interest to work in Quantium. Research about the company. Rehearse your data structure, algorithm and problem solving skills.

There's a podcast that's helpful.

Be yourself. Quantium is interested in you as a person and supporting your growth.

Come with an open mind and a positive attitude

Be confident explaining your thought process

Be comfortable explaining your thought process and asking questions + learn about the company values, clients, etc. prior to the interview

Research the company, decide what you are interested in (front end or back end), do a few coding puzzles, the questions were not particularly difficult.

Being capable of presenting analytical findings and be familiar with standard statistical analysis and summaries such as normalization and prevalence.

Chat to people already working at the company - and ask meaningful questions you can get unique insights from. Do a few numerical psychometric tests to get a little bit of a feel for the tests.

Research the company. Look at its history, current clients and work it does.

It's good to have a few projects in hand where you have demonstrated ability across the tech stack -- from frontend to backend.

Brush up on your non-technical skills, be relaxed. I would make sure you've done your homework at uni and had a go at implementing real projects before doing the technical interview.

Wouldn't recommend and special preparation other than the stuff you'd do for every other interview (why do you want to work here etc etc)

For the cultural interview be yourself and be interesting - don't just focus on uni and work. For the analyst interview, be authentic too. Answer what you can and be honest about what you don't know.

For the coding questions, brush up on Frontend / SQL Systems Design - practice with a friend for this.

Be normal. Practice interview questions so 1. you have an idea of what to say 2. boost your confidence. Being able to articulate yourself well and confidently is key in any corporate workplace.
