TAFE SA is the largest provider of vocational education and training (VET) in South Australia. They deliver more than 1,000 courses per year at their campuses across the state. They offer training across more than 80 activity and industry-related areas with a wide range of quality courses and flexible study options. They work closely with industry and business to deliver relevant, high-quality, vocational education and training to better link skills and training with job opportunities, ensuring sustainable employment within the state.

Recruitment Process

When applying for a job with TAFE SA, you can expect to undertake the following as part of the recruitment process:

  1. Application: All applications must include your current resume, and provide a response the the selection criteria described in the Role Descriptor for the job.  We encourage you to learn more about responding to selection criteria, as it is different to a cover letter.  More information about responding to selection criteria can be found on the iworkforsa website. 
  2. Submission of applications: All applications must be submitted on the SA Government Recruitment Portal - iworkforsa.  
  3. Shortlisting: All applications will be reviewed and critiqued against their response to the selection criteria.  
  4. Interview: Successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview.  This may take place in person, or via an online video call.  Interviews at TAFE SA generally have a panel of 3 or 4 staff members.  Interviews may take the form of responses to questions, responses to a workplace scenario, and/or deliver a response or presentation to a pre-arranged topic.
