You can easily register your interest here for our internship openings. If you have completed or are working towards completing studies in the IT and Technology space, we want to hear from you.

Our award-winning Graduate Rotation Program is highly regarded, and we are working hard to also improve our Internship Program in order to offer greater opportunities to emerging talent in the IT field, just like yourself.

Most of our internship opportunities are 3-month full-time engagements but we are looking at improving our offering, which means we may have part-time opportunities becoming available in the future.

If you register your interest, we will then be in touch with further information in September 2024. Don’t forget to check-out our live opening for an Automation Intern which is currently advertised.

With customer-facing projects, there is not a lot of opportunity for high quality work as there is more focus on budgets and timelines. There is also a lot of tech debt for some projects and codebases that are not up to par with industry standards or practices.

Pros and cons of working at Cenitex

Pros

  • Supportive colleagues and learning new things everyday

  • Having flexibility with only two days required in the office. Very good workplace culture, people are polite. No forced overtime, decent workload. Freedom to take leave when needed and not made to feel bad about it. Good employee value proposition with Flare benefits. Changing rooms on bottom floor if you want to have a shower and change clothes at work.

  • The best thing about working at Cenitex is the company values. In my five months within the company, I felt like I could count on my team members and other people within the organisation. They always push us to collaborate and come with ideas together. I always felt heard, supported and respected. Cenitex also supports multiple streams, such as gender equality and reconciliation stream, providing multiple groups including Social Club, I never left out or not included at Cenitex.

  • Awesome work-life balance. Super supportive and kind co-workers.

  • Flexible working arrangements, coworkers are very understanding of commitments outside of work.

Cons

    • The worst thing about Cenitex is getting confused by the departments. I have never work within the government or knew much about the different departments within Victoria before so having customers within a government body was a big change as each department has different services that we provide.

    • Lack of technical capabilities in application development.

    • Rotation program is not helpful if you know what you want to do. The compensation may not match the value you bring to the company.

    • Starting salary (little low)

    • It takes time to get familiar with all the systems used in different teams. You also need time to understand the organisation structure as one process may involve a few teams at the same time.
